Incornea is the only institution in Colombia that has VisuMax equipment, which is a laser that is used to carry out corrective procedures for myopia and astigmatism without the need to cut or administer heat to the eyeball, making this type of intervention minimally invasive. In addition, it is not necessary to apply acids that remove epithelium or razors to make flaps, so dry eye syndrome is avoided, since the laser acts inside the cornea. To perform this technique, high-precision femtosecond technology is used. These characteristics mean that the discomforts that are usually experienced after conventional surgery diminish substantially. In addition, this technique makes the procedure much safer and the complete recovery time is faster (between 15 and 20 days).
